Each of this week’s readings, and many of those from other weeks, may be connected to a contemporary aesthetic and/or political movement that is best understood in light of specific social, political, and historical circumstances. Discuss  “The Myth of the Latin Woman” From One world, many cultures by Hirschberg, S., & Hirschberg, T     in relation to the movement with which it is associated (the Latina Movement of women Latin American descent). Address how the work reflects the sociocultural conditions it represents, as well as how the work demonstrates, or differs from, the characteristics commonly associated with the respective aesthetic movement. (If the chosen work does not seem in keeping with the ideas, principles, or qualities generally associated with the movement, it should be noted and its significance described and analyzed.)
