Descriptive Discussion Assignment: QEP Keeping It Real: Classroom to Career: Envisioning Your Professional Image
This week, you will write a Descriptive Passage that includes a beginning, a middle, and an ending and which contains at least 200 words. In it, you will create a snapshot in words of your professional image. In the beginning of the passage, you should indicate that you are going to describe your professional image. Then you should include nicely developed details that share a visual picture of that image, including the setting of your job, the wardrobe appropriate to that setting, and the professional traits needed to be successful there. At the end, you should provide concluding material in a sentence or two to bring the work to a satisfying close. Here is an example to help you understand what is expected. Using a job search site from the list below, locate a position listing for a job you would like to hold. Think about the professional traits required of a person employed in that position. (Copy and paste the listing and its web address into a Word file in case you want to cite from it. If you do, you will need these for your in-text citations and references page.)
Once you have completed your brainstorming compose a 200-word response in which you describe your professional image. It will contain three parts:
