This week you will be writing a memo as the coding supervisor to your new coding staff in regard to two of the Root Operation guidelines found under the Medical and Surgical guidelines in the front of your code book. These guidelines start with B3.1a and go through B3.16. Choose any two that you wish to explain to your new coders.
If you are not familiar with a proper memo format, you can Google “Memo Template” and find one to use as an example.
In your memo, include the following information:
Be sure you look up all words you don’t understand. You will be graded on clarity of instruction, thoroughness of instruction, and creativity in making the guidelines you chose easy for a new coder to follow.
Submit your completed assignment by following the directions linked below. Please check the Course Calendar for specific due dates.
Save your assignment as a Microsoft Word document. (Mac users, please remember to append the “.docx” extension to the filename.) The name of the file should be your first initial and last name, followed by an underscore and the name of the assignment, and an underscore and the date. An example is shown below:
