A basic communication plan has the following key elements and is usually a one pager but typically no more than two pages.
A traditional communication plan has:
A current situation of your business
What you want to accomplish (your goals)
Who you need to talk with (your audience)
What you want to say (your core messages)
How you will communicate (your internal communication strategies, tactics and channels)
When you will communicate (your timeframe), and
How you will measure your progress
You can also use the SBAR template to outline the plan or you could use the SMART objectives format.
