In this assignment, you will create a portfolio of material to include original work and self-evaluation.  The assignment will serve as a portfolio that showcases your work and will provide a wonderful overview of your growth as a creative writer.

This assignment will consist of a number of components, all compiled in one document.

1. Write an essay (2-4 pages) explaining what you learned in each assignment: about writing, about revision, and about receiving advice from peers.  This essay should serve as an introduction to the portfolio. Include a conclusion in which you sum up your work this semester and its impact on you, both professionally and personally.
2. In the same document, you will organize various drafts of your original work from early draft to final revised version.  For each assignment, provide an additional one- to two-paragraph explanation of your revision process. Be sure to specify exactly what changes you made and why you made them.

This portfolio should be thought of as a publication itself. The quality and layout of the portfolio should be considered: consider the overall “look” of the portfolio document.
