Explore Healthy People 2020 to learn about social determinants of health.

The Public Broadcasting Service had a series on social determinants and inequalities and how they affect health that is very enlightening and helps one to see the many different factors that affecting the health of various populations.

Post your thoughts regarding one of more of these videos and social determinants of health from PBS and how they relate to health issues in your practice or community.

Discuss why addressing the social determinants of health is especially important as a community/public health nurse.
